• Employers Health Insurance Company entered the dental insurance and related services market.

1990s

• HumanaDental introduces first PPO products.
• Humana and Employers Health merged, consolidating the dental benefits businesses under the HumanaDental umbrella.
• Employers Health acquired The Dental Concern, Ltd. and expanded its membership to over 500,000.
• Humana introduced dental with a DHMO following the acquisition of Randmark.

2000s

• Humana acquires CompBenefits.
• HumanaDental Insurance Company established as a separate entity.
• HumanaDental’s membership exceeds 2.9 million members.
• HumanaDental's PPO Network grows to more than 105,000 dentist locations nationwide.
